But the question remains \u2014 will Jeezy and Freddie Gibbs finally be able to bury the hatchet as well? According to a recent interview with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vulture.com\/2021\/01\/interview-freddie-gibbs-alfredo-grammys-jeezy.html?utm_source=tw&amp;utm_medium=s1&amp;utm_campaign=vulture\"><em>Vulture,<\/em><\/a> it\u2019s certainly not outside of the realm of possibilities.<\/p>\n<p>During the conversation, Gibbs opened up about his once-flourishing work relationship with Jeezy\u2019s CTE World imprint that went horribly south and resulted in some bad blood between the former collaborators. In fact, he sounded like he was willing to mend their rift at some point.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was more hurt than anything,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s what it feel like when one of your favorite rappers gets at you like that. I think that he see where I\u2019m at now, and then he looks back at that shit, and he regrets it. I don\u2019t say I regret nothing. But it\u2019s better ways I could have handled things with him, maybe talked it out and communicated better. Maybe it could have worked out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t have beef with him like other people may. I think it was just two guys who didn\u2019t communicate correctly. He had a vision, and I had my vision, and we just couldn\u2019t come to a common agreement. I don\u2019t hate the man or anything of that nature, not at all. At one point, I looked up to him. And I still respect everything that he did musically. I still listen to his music. So, like I said, man, maybe one day, who knows?<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/0pjxyrTe8u67ZHKuMIrdz0\" width=\"100%\" height=\"80\" frameborder=\"0\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Gibbs seemingly reignited their feud when he said some disparaging comments about Jeezy\u2019s legacy while speaking to Bootleg Kev last June.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI take the adversity and use it as fuckin\u2019 fuel,\u201d he said.\u201dThe fact I can do that puts me above a lot of n-ggas. I wasn\u2019t supposed to make it. In 2006, Interscope dropped me \u2026 Jeezy is musically irrelevant. Let\u2019s be real, dawg. Did you listen to his last album? No you fuckin\u2019 didn\u2019t. That ultimately led to a heated back-and-forth on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> between Gibbs and the media personality that only ended when Ak eventually lost his job with <em>Everyday Struggle,\u00a0<\/em>something he addressed in the interview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood old Akademiks,\u201d he said. \u201cThe whole thing was corny. I just feel like certain guys like that, their opinion don\u2019t really matter. Why are we even listening to a guy like this? How did he get on? Twitch? He not a DJ. I ain\u2019t got no problem with the kid. I seen that kid one day in L.A. before all of this started. And when I tapped him on the shoulder, he was hella spooked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo he know what I\u2019m about. Everybody know. Everybody that know me, know what a problem with me, what it comes with. I\u2019m a cool guy. I\u2019m a good guy. I don\u2019t go around starting no trouble. I be chilling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gibbs wrapped up a fruitful 2020 when <em>Alfredo,<\/em> his collaboration with The Alchemist and HipHopDX\u2019s 2020 Hip Hop Album of the Year, nabbed a Grammy Award nomination in the Best Rap Album category.
