\n Jay Cutler has a lot of free time these days. Having recently split from reality star Kristin Cavallari after seven years of marriage, the former NFL QB has been spending the summer travel<\/a>ing to Montana and joining Instagram (after Cavallari managed an account for him for years).<\/p>\n

Cutler posted his first story on Wednesday night, and it was a doozy: he announced to his 481,000 followers that he has a \u201cchicken serial killer on the loose\u201d at his Nashville farm. Several of his chickens had died, and Cutler said he would be setting up a hidden camera overnight to investigate who was responsible for these heinous crimes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll see if it\u2019s a coyote, bobcat, racoon,\u201d he said. \u201cCould be anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cutler suggested it could be \u201can inside job,\u201d and that his cat, Thelma, was a suspect. \u201cI hope you don\u2019t show up on camera tonight,\u201d Cutler told the cat in another Instagram story.<\/p>\n

The internet took major interest in the chicken saga, and Cutler\u2019s name was trending on Twitter<\/a> overnight.<\/p>\n

Cutler addressed his followers Thursday morning with an update, saying that he had no new leads, and that the spy camera had failed to pick anything up. Additionally, no more chickens had been harmed overnight.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile they say no news<\/a> is good news, in this case, we needed news,\u201d Cutler said. \u201cWe didn\u2019t get any news. No pictures on the cam as expected. We\u2019re obviously dealing with an intelligent predator.\u201d<\/p>\n

He did, however, rule out Thelma as the culprit, saying \u201cwe can take her off the suspect list.\u201d In a separate post, Cutler wrote, \u201cTo the cat: while I\u2019m not sorry you were accused of these vicious acts, I will be the bigger person and admit I was wrong. You are not the suspect we are looking for. Take it as a compliment for your savage ways of life. Carry on Cat.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an additional post, Cutler said his farm has \u201can owl problem,\u201d but he didn\u2019t directly implicate them in the chicken crimes. Which means the predator is likely still at large.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hunt continues,\u201d Cutler said. We are all waiting with bated breath, Jay.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
