Dodgson, we\u2019ve got Dodgson here!\u00a0Jurassic World: Dominion<\/em><\/strong> is bringing back a minor, but familiar, character from\u00a0Jurassic Park<\/em>: Dodgson. You might recall Dodgson as the guy dressed like a secret agent, tasking Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) will stealing dinosaur embryos via a fake shaving cream can. The character only pops-up in one scene, but everyone remembers Nedry yelling \u201cDodgson!\u201d anyway. Now, Dodgson is back \u2013 albeit in a new form.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Collider says that\u00a0Campbell Scott<\/strong> will play Dr. Lewis Dodgson in\u00a0Jurassic Park: Dominion<\/em>, the third entry in the\u00a0Jurassic World<\/em> franchise. Having Scott take on the part is a good choice, since he\u2019s a memorable character actor (with a great<\/em> voice \u2013 he\u2019s narrated several audiobooks). There\u2019s also another good reason to have someone new take over the role:\u00a0Cameron Thor, who played Dodgson in the original film, was sentenced to six years in prison in 2016 for\u00a0sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.<\/p>\n

While the\u00a0Jurassic Park<\/em> movie doesn\u2019t go into many details, Dodgson was the head of research at Biosyn, the major competitor of InGen, the company owned by Jurassic Park founder John Hammond. In both the book and the film, Dodgson tasked Jurassic Park employee Dennis Nedry with stealing dino embryos. As we all know, that plan didn\u2019t work out so well, and Nedry was killed before he could get the embryos off the island.<\/p>\n

Dodgson hasn\u2019t popped up in the\u00a0Jurassic<\/em> movie franchise since then, but it\u2019s worth noting that in Crichton\u2019s\u00a0The Lost World<\/em> novel, Dodgson is the primary human antagonist, and he tries to finish what Nedry started. According to Collider,\u00a0Jurassic World: Dominion<\/em> will see Dodgson promoted to CEO of Biosyn Genetics. There aren\u2019t any more details beyond that, but it\u2019s probably safe to assume Dodgson will end up being one of the human bad guys in the third\u00a0Jurassic World<\/em> movie. Which also means he\u2019ll probably end up getting eaten by a T-Rex or something by the time the credits roll.<\/p>\n

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, Isabella Sermon, and BD Wong are all set to star in\u00a0Jurassic World: Dominion<\/em>, with Colin Trevorrow directing a script<\/a> he co-wrote with\u00a0Emily Carmichael. The release date is set for\u00a0June 11, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
