Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time\u00a0<\/em>has received yet another delay. The movie was meant to begin screening in Japan on January 23, but has been postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 and the state of emergency declared by the Japanese government.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Evangelion website<\/a> and Twitter page\u2019s announcement said that a new release date would be quickly announced on social media<\/a> and the website once it had been decided on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from the movie\u2019s screening, the sale of \u201cShiro SAGISU Music from \u201cSHIN EVANGELION\u201d has been postponed as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new postponement marks the latest COVID-19-related delay to have hit the movie. In 2020, it was pushed<\/a> from its June 27 release date, while the midnight screenings<\/span> were called off just last week on January 9.<\/span><\/p>\n

Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time<\/em>\u00a0is the fourth and final entry in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy, a retelling of the 1995 Neon Genesis Evangelion\u00a0<\/i>series<\/a>.\u00a0The last movie, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo<\/i>, was released in 2012. A trailer released in December 2020 previewed the theme<\/a> song \u201cOne Last Kiss\u201d by Utada Hikaru, who also performed the theme songs of the other Rebuild of Evangelion movies.<\/span><\/p>\n
