Apple TV wants to know whodunnit. The streaming service just announced they\u2019ve ordered a new TV show from Phil Lord and Chris Miller called\u00a0The Afterparty<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The murder-mystery series is \u201cset at a high school reunion afterparty. Each of the eight episodes will feature a retelling of the same night told through a different character\u2019s perspective, each with its own unique visual format and film genre to match the teller\u2019s personality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Apple TV has not announced a premiere date for The Afterparty<\/em> yet, but you can read more info below:\n<\/p>\n

In a competitive situation, Apple has given a straight-to-series order for \u201cThe Afterparty,\u201d a new comedy series from Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Afterparty\u201d is a murder-mystery comedy set at a high school reunion afterparty. Each of the eight episodes will feature a retelling of the same night told through a different character\u2019s perspective, each with its own unique visual format and film genre to match the teller\u2019s personality.<\/p>\n

Miller will serve as creator, showrunner and executive producer of \u201cThe Afterparty\u201d and Lord will executive produce through the pair\u2019s production shingle, Lord Miller. Lord Miller\u2019s VP of Television Aubrey Lee will serve as producer. The series will be produced for Apple by TriStar TV and Sony Pictures Television, where Lord and Miller currently have an expansive five-year overall television deal.<\/p>\n

The new Apple original comedy series will join a slate of critically lauded hit comedy series on Apple TV including the Peabody Award-winning \u201cDickinson,\u201d \u201cMythic Quest: Raven\u2019s Banquet,\u201d \u201cCentral Park,\u201d \u201cTrying\u201d and the upcoming \u201cTed Lasso.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
