She tweeted that she also submitted information to the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>But Bumble <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bumble\/status\/1349739735950843907\">revealed<\/a> Thursday that it had removed the app\u2019s politics filter in the US for now in order to \u201cprevent misuse.\u201d The Tinder rival added that it\u2019s already taken its own steps to crack down on the rioters, including removing users who have been confirmed as participants in the Capitol attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn January 6, we immediately ensured that our hate speech scanning and protocols addressed the attack on the US Capitol and began removing any insurrection-related content from our platform,\u201d a Bumble rep said in a statement. \u201cIf we see anything that would suggest someone has or is in the process of committing a potentially criminal act we will take appropriate steps with law enforcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The app\u2019s explanation didn\u2019t fly with some users.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow the hell can this be misused?
