“#Man killed in hit-and-run crash in the Bronx, cops say<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

A man died following a hit-and-run crash in the Bronx early Saturday, police said.<\/p>\n

The NYPD said the victim, believed to be in his 60s or 70s, was struck in front of the Kaesar Gourmet Deli at 3919 Baychester Ave. around 1:45 a.m and taken to Jacobi Medical Center with severe leg injuries.<\/p>\n

He died an hour later, an NYPD spokesman said.<\/p>\n

Investigators are still trying to figure out the exact circumstances surrounding the deadly crash and offered no information on the vehicle that struck the man.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a language barrier,\u201d the NYPD spokesman said.<\/p>\n

A man who answered the phone at the Kaesar Deli Saturday morning declined to comment on the crash.<\/p>\n
