Usually, Windows+G opens up the Xbox Game Bar in Windows 10. But if you\u2019d like to launch the Game Bar with a custom keyboard shortcut, Windows Settings has you covered. Here\u2019s how to set it up.<\/p>\n

First, we\u2019ll need to visit Windows Settings. Open the Start menu and select the \u201cgear\u201d icon on the left side of the menu, or you can press Windows+i on your keyboard.<\/p>\n

In Settings, select \u201cGaming.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"In<\/p>\n

In \u201cXbox Game Bar\u201d settings, scroll down until you see the \u201cKeyboard shortcuts\u201d section.<\/p>\n

The first entry in the list is \u201cOpen Xbox Game Bar.\u201d To set your own custom shortcut, click the box beside \u201cYour shortcut,\u201d then press the keyboard combination you\u2019d like to use. For example, we entered Control+Shift+G.<\/p>\n

If you try a combination that\u2019s already taken by something else, you\u2019ll see an error message. If that\u2019s the case, try a different shortcut.<\/p>\n

After that, scroll down to the bottom of the \u201cKeyboard shortcuts\u201d list and click the \u201cSave\u201d button. You must click Save for the new keyboard shortcut to take effect.<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> You can change keyboard shortcuts for other Game Bar functions like screen recording and live broadcasts here, too.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Press your new shortcut anywhere in Windows 10 and the Xbox Game Bar will app<\/a>ear.<\/p>\n

If you want to disable your custom Game Bar shortcut in the future, revisit Windows Settings > Gaming, then clear the \u201cOpen Xbox Game Bar\u201d shortcut text box and click \u201cSave.\u201d You can also click the \u201cReset\u201d button at the bottom of the list to clear all custom shortcuts.
