It's a tale of two remakes in Sony's list of most downloaded PlayStation games of 2020<\/b>. On the PlayStation 4 <\/b>side, Final Fantasy VII Remake <\/i><\/b>dominated the top 10 in Japan, while the Demon's Souls <\/i><\/b>remake did the same on the list of most downloaded PlayStation 5 <\/b>games. <\/p>\n

Here's how the top 10 PS4 game downloads<\/b> ranked in Japan:<\/p>\n

1. Final Fantasy VII Remake<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

2. Ghost of Tsushima<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

3. Dead by Daylight<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

4. Minecraft<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

5. eFootball Winning Eleven 2021 Season Update<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

6. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

7. Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

8. Minecraft Dungeons<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

9. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

10. eBASEBALL Powerful Pro Baseball 2020<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

3. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

4. Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends and the Secret Fairy<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

5. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

6. Dead by Daylight<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

7. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

8. Godfall<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

9. No Man’s Sky<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

10. FIFA 21<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

PlayStation also ranked top VR games, with Beat Saber<\/i><\/b> in the number one spot, as well as Free-to-Play games, which saw Apex Legends <\/i><\/b>as champion. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Neither remake made quite the splash on the North American and European lists<\/span><\/a>. In the US and Canada, Final Fantasy VII Remake <\/i>only ranked 9th for PS4 downloads, and it didn't even make the top 10 in Europe. FFVII Remake <\/i>is the only Japanese game on the North American list, which has Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War <\/i>at the top. <\/p>\n

Demon's Souls <\/i>ranked in fifth place on both the NA and EU top 10 for PS5 downloads. <\/p>\n
