While the plebeian masses plead for new music from Adele, the singer\u2019s friend, comic Alan Carr, insists the new album \u2014 believed to be languishing somewhere in the world \u2014 is \u201cso amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been over five years since her third and latest studio album, \u201c25,\u201d dropped in 2015, yet fans have been anticipating a fourth for two-and-a-half of those years. <\/p>\n

In the meantime, Ms. Adkins, 32, has dropped nary a single or even a teaser \u2014 despite her appearance<\/a> as host of \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d last year, which would have been the perfect moment to do so.<\/p>\n

Now, Carr is adding to the anticipation, teasing Grazia UK <\/a>readers that Adele\u2019s new record, which fans have tentatively dubbed \u201c32\u201d \u2014 in accord with the previous three albums, named for her age during recording \u2014 is due to ship next month<\/em>. <\/p>\n

The \u201cHello\u201d singer\u2019s close pal was asked whose album would drop in February \u2014 \u201cAdele, Cardi B or Rihanna?\u201d \u2014 and he was quick to answer.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdele, isn\u2019t it? I\u2019ve actually heard some tracks on it,\u201d the \u201cRuPaul\u2019s Drag Race\u201d host told the magazine. \u201cOh my God, it\u2019s amazing \u2014 so amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old entertainer gushed on: \u201cI said to her, \u2018That voice is like an old friend,\u2019 because there are some people in the charts who sound a bit like Adele and then when you hear Adele\u2019s voice, you go, \u2018Oh no, there\u2019s only one.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The reporter then asked Carr if her voice had \u201cgone skinny,\u201d alluding to the \u201cHello\u201d singer\u2019s impressive weight loss since 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, no, no,\u201d he responded. \u201cShe\u2019s still got a chunky but funky voice \u2014 don\u2019t worry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, it looks as if the queen of British soul has been busy, considering her last social<\/a>-media update was last October, immediately following her \u201cSNL\u201d performance. <\/p>\n

\u201cLook after each other and go easy on yourselves,\u201d she told her followers on Instagram<\/a> at the time. \u201cI\u2019m going back to my cave now to be the (single) cat lady that I am! Peace out til next year.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
