The 11 countries, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.co.uk\/news\/world-news\/covid-free-world-how-11-23281607\">according to the Star<\/a>, who have not logged one case of COVID are:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Cook_Islands\"><\/span>The Cook Islands<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 17,000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Precautions included school closings on Rarotonga, the most populous of the country\u2019s 15 islands, and encouraged <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> distancing in public\u00a0\u2013 but after a few weeks, life went back to normal.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tuvalu\"><\/span>Tuvalu<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 11,500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Borders were closed immediately with a strict two-week quarantine imposed on anyone entering the country.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tonga\"><\/span>Tonga<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 104,000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Early on, this island nation rerouted cruise ships and implemented a ban on international <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pitcairn_Islands\"><\/span>Pitcairn Islands<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 50<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Populated entirely by the descendants of the famous mutineers of the HMS Bounty and a handful of Tahitian captives, who landed on the islands in 1789, not a single COVID-19 case has been logged here.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Palau\"><\/span>Palau<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 17,900<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Made up of more than 300 islands, the country suspended all travel and instituted a strict quarantine for citizens returning home.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Niue\"><\/span>Niue<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 1,624<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nauru\"><\/span>Nauru<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 12,700<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It may be COVID-10 free but life for many on this island is still hellish. One of the poorest countries on Earth, to make money, the government rents most of its land to Australia for use as an internment camp for illegal immigrants and refugees.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kiribati\"><\/span>Kiribati<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 116,000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Very few airlines actually fly into Kiribati so it was easier for this nation to lay down a travel ban.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tokelau\"><\/span>Tokelau<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 1,411<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Located halfway between Hawaii and New Zealand, this tiny nation is still COVID-19 free.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Micronesia\"><\/span>Micronesia<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 112,000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Made up of more than 600 islands, the government warned early on: \u201cNo passengers are allowed to disembark any air or sea vessel originating outside of Federated States of Micronesia, with the exception of individuals granted an exception from the National Government or those working on commercial sea vessels abiding precautionary measures and protocols.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Turkmenistan\"><\/span>Turkmenistan<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Population: 5 million<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The only non-island nation in the group, this Central Asian country just didn\u2019t record any cases \u2013 so, voila! No COVID!
