The website for Parler, the conservative-friendly social media<\/a> platform, was back online on Sunday \u2014 with a message for the company\u2019s \u201clovers and haters.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cHello world, is this thing on?\u201d\u00a0Parler CEO John Matze wrote on the website, above a note from the company saying the platform would be restored after challenges were resolved.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow seems like the right time to remind you all \u2014 both lovers and haters \u2014 why we started this platform,\u201d the note read.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe privacy is paramount and free speech essential, especially on social media. Our aim has always been to provide a nonpartisan public square where individuals can enjoy and exercise their rights to both.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amazon Web Services suspended Parler from its servers last Sunday, in the wake of the deadly US Capitol riot, effectively taking the website offline unless it found a new company to host its services.<\/p>\n

The company filed a lawsuit\u00a0Monday accusing Amazon of breach of contract and violating an antitrust law over the tech titan\u2019s decision to stop hosting the site.<\/p>\n

In response, Amazon said it\u00a0repeatedly warned Parler about its users\u2019 violent posts\u00a0and that the company failed to promptly remove them.<\/p>\n

Google Play and App<\/a>le also removed the company\u2019s app from its stores.<\/p>\n

Parler\u2019s app is still unavailable for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play on Sunday.<\/p>\n
