Surely a picture of the wrestler-turned-actor in his early WWE days, right? Wrong, it\u2019s a 15-year-old Johnson, looking like a full-blown adult who must have terrified the fellow teenagers at his high school. The actor has even joked that his fellow students <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheRock\/status\/1099133036237590528\">thought he was an undercover cop<\/a>. It\u2019s an absurd idea \u2014 one that may be absurd enough for a TV show.<\/p>\n<p>And it is. Johnson\u2019s childhood has been turned into an NBC sitcom called\u00a0<strong><em>Young Rock<\/em><\/strong>, a comedy executive produced by\u00a0<em>Fresh Off the Boat<\/em> creators\u00a0<strong>Nanatchka Khan<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Jeff Chiang<\/strong>, which aims to tell the actor\u2019s origin story. Watch the\u00a0<em>Young Rock<\/em> trailer below.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Young_Rock_Trailer\"><\/span>Young Rock Trailer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0StDOeKE_DI\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0StDOeKE_DI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Khan and Chiang have some experience turning a true story of a famous celebrity into great comedy TV, making chef Eddie Huang\u2019s childhood into the\u00a0well-liked <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>\u00a0<em>Fresh Off the Boat<\/em>. And now they\u2019re working their magic on Dwayne Johnson\u2019s childhood, though they won\u2019t have to do much considering how much of a larger-than-life figure the actor is \u2014 literally.<\/p>\n<p>At\u00a06\u20194 and 225 pounds as a 15-year-old, Johnson intimidated the students at each of the four high schools he attended in his family\u2019s frequent moves from\u00a0Honolulu, to Nashville, to Pennsylvania. But even a giant teenager has his own insecurities, as we see in the\u00a0<em>Young Rock<\/em> trailer, which shows the 15-year-old Dwayne introducing himself to his classmates as \u201cTomas\u201d because \u201cit sounds\u00a0<em>way<\/em> cooler than Dwayne.\u201d The sitcom will follow Johnson\u2019s life from preteen years to young adulthood, via three actors:\u00a0Adrian Groulx as 10-year-old Johnson, Bradley Constant as 15-year-old\u00a0Johnson, and\u00a0Uli Latukefu\u00a0as 18-20-year-old Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to find Young Rock, for example, wreaking havoc in the streets of Hawaii when I was a very young teenager, getting arrested seemingly every single week, doing a lot of things I shouldn\u2019t have been doing,\u201d Johnson said at last year\u2019s Television Critics Association presentation, where NBC announced the comedy series. \u201cStill a good kid. Then from there of course we were evicted off the island and forced to leave the island and move to of all places Nashville, TN where again I continued to get in trouble.
