Just about everybody seems to be moving to Florida \u2014 including Tommy Hilfiger, who dumped his $45 million Greenwich mansion for warmer pastures.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The American app<\/a>arel mogul, 69, and his wife, former model Dee Ocleppo<\/a>, 54, finally closed on the 13,344-square-foot mansion. The 22-acre estate at 30 John St., which they have owned since 2010, has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and three powder rooms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe house doesn\u2019t feel very large because it\u2019s cozy and warm. They used almost every room. It welcomes you,\u201d listing agent Janet Milligan with Sotheby\u2019s International Realty Greenwich Brokerage told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The home has hand-painted fabric walls, carved millwork, wide-board and limestone floors, textile wall coverings, a wine cellar and a tasting room. An 18th-century French fireplace is among six total fireplaces, and the master bedroom has two bathrooms, two dressing rooms and an office, according to Realtor.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The entry has a carved wooden staircase. The formal dining room has wood paneling, and the large kitchen has exposed wood beams and a breakfast room \u2014 plus the house has a home theater.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Ocleppo] has Turkish heritage, so the Turkish-inspired decor is really special. She made the theater room a really beautiful, cozy room where you just want to watch movies<\/a> all day. It has a candy machine, popcorn, sofas and different levels of chairs,\u201d said Milligan.<\/p>\n

Outdoors, the house has fountains, a koi pond, a pool, an all-weather tennis court, a rose garden, a boxwood knot garden, a topiary garden and a lawn overlooking the Long Island Sound. The house has a four-car garage plus a two-bedroom guest house with its own two-car garage, according to Realtor.com. They even had a greenhouse, which once housed orchids, and a chicken coop with three roosters and at least a dozen hens, Milligan told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you approach, you go up a knoll, and you can\u2019t see the house. As you drive up the driveway, it\u2019s perched up there like a pearl,\u201d said Milligan. \u201cIt\u2019s the highest point in Greenwich, and on a clear day, you can see New York City.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the eighth house the couple has renovated and sold over the last 35 years. They purchased the home for $31.37 million in 2010 and reportedly spent millions renovating the home, including replacing the roof\u2019s terra cotta tiles with custom-made exact replicas of the originals. They hired Andre Tchelistcheff Architects, as well as the interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, and also Cindy Rinfret of Rinfret, Ltd. for the renovations, according to Town & Country<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was an indoor pool originally, and they turned it into the most spectacular family room. You would never know it wasn\u2019t there before, it was done so well,\u201d said Milligan, who added that the new family room has French doors, a wet bar, a sitting area, a television and a billiards table.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Their Greenwich house was built in 1939 and designed by Greville Rickard for real estate investor Charles Vincent Paterno. The house was later owned by art collector Dr. Joseph Hirshhorn, whose collection is now at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC, according to Realtor.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sally Slater of Douglas Elliman represented the anonymous buyers who bought the estate through an LLC.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not showy people. They\u2019re just looking to start their life in Greenwich as opposed to where they were,\u201d Slater told the Real Deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hilfiger and Ocleppo will move to Palm Beach, Florida, for favorable tax policies and other unnamed reasons; the couple is selling their Miami home<\/a> and are looking to buy a new Florida home, <\/strong>they told the Wall Street Journal<\/a> in September. <\/strong>Hilfiger also sold his Plaza Hotel penthouse in 2019 for $33.25 million and a Palm Beach<\/a> mansion for $35 million in 2017.\u00a0\n <\/div>\n
