{"id":157706,"date":"2021-01-19T08:32:37","date_gmt":"2021-01-19T05:32:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/flipped-ethereum-now-processes-28-more-transactions-than-bitcoin\/"},"modified":"2021-01-19T08:32:37","modified_gmt":"2021-01-19T05:32:37","slug":"flipped-ethereum-now-processes-28-more-transactions-than-bitcoin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/flipped-ethereum-now-processes-28-more-transactions-than-bitcoin\/","title":{"rendered":"# Flipped: Ethereum now processes 28% more transactions than Bitcoin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong># Flipped: Ethereum now processes 28% more transactions than Bitcoin <\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-5a136f3a>The daily volume of transactions on the Ethereum (ETH) network is now 28% greater than on Bitcoin (BTC), according to crypto analytics firm Messari.<\/p>\n<p>On Jan. 19, Messari\u2019s Ryan Watkins tweeted that Ethereum\u2019s daily transaction volume \u201cis going parabolic\u201d alongside a chart indicating that Ethereum and Ethereum-powered stablecoins have processed $12.3 billion in transactions over the past 24 hours \u2014 dwarfing Bitcoin and Omni-based USDT\u2019s $9.3 billion.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Ethereum&#8217;s daily transaction volume is going parabolic. <\/p>\n<p>It now settles $12 billion in transactions daily &#8211; $3 billion more than Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine not being bullish <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ETH&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ETH<\/a>. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3NfOz1ruiM\">pic.twitter.com\/3NfOz1ruiM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ryan Watkins (@RyanWatkins_) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RyanWatkins_\/status\/1351349824961077249?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 19, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>The data excludes non-stablecoin ERC-20 transactions for Ethereum to avoid double-counting DEX volumes.<\/p>\n<p>According to Blockchain Center\u2019s \u201cFlippening Index,\u201d which uses eight key metrics to track whether the Ethereum network has surpassed Bitcoin in size and activity, Ethereum is 63.5% of the way to having flipped Bitcoin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While Blockchain Center\u2019s data suggests Ethereum is yet to beat out Bitcoin\u2019s transaction volume, the Flippening Index notes Ethereum is already beating Bitcoin by transaction count and total transaction fees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The data also has Ethereum\u2019s node count at 94% after briefly flipping Bitcoin several times in recent months, and estimates Ethereum\u2019s trade volume is equal to 57% of Bitcoin\u2019s after bouncing off a record high of 76% last week.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-01\/4a397d9b-39e0-418d-b735-94f9bb049578.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\">The Flippening Index: <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blockchaincenter.net\/flippening\/\">Blockchain Center<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Despite momentum building for Ethereum, the index shows Google search volume is only 14% compared to Bitcoin, and Ether\u2019s market cap to be just 21% of Bitcoin\u2019s. However, Messari <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/messari.io\/screener\/ethereum-48633281\">estimates<\/a> the entire Ethereum ecosystem to be worth $212 billion \u2014 equal to 31% of Bitcoin\u2019s market cap.<\/p>\n<p>Polkadot, the brain-child of Ethereum co-founder Gavin Wood, completed its own flippening last week to overtake Ripple\u2019s XRP and rank as the third-largest non-stablecoin crypto asset by capitalization behind Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
