“#Caitlyn Jenner Blames Trans Community For Her Being ‘Too Controversial’: ‘It’s Been Disapp<\/a>ointing’

\nEven after all these years, it seems like\u00a0Caitlyn Jenner<\/strong>\u00a0still<\/em> doesn\u2019t understand why she\u2019s such a polarizing figure in the public eye \u2014 and specifically, within the transgender community.<\/p>\n

How is this possible?! And what will it take to get through to her??<\/p>\n

The Olympic<\/strong> gold medalist and sports hero went on the\u00a0Skinny Confidential Him & Her<\/em> podcast this week for a brand new interview, and on the show, she opened up a good deal about her status as an outcast.<\/p>\n

But rather than look critically at the unbelievable financial and social<\/a> privileges she had even before making her transition back in 2015, Caitlyn still seems hung up on the politics of it all. Girl, come on\u2026<\/p>\n

On the podcast, the topic arose when host\u00a0Michael Bosstick<\/strong> brought up the differences in how people reacted to\u00a0Elliot Page<\/strong>\u2018s coming out late last year as opposed to Caitlyn\u2019s own experience several years ago. And when Bosstick asked whether Caitlyn felt the varied reaction within the community to her transition was due to a \u201cdouble standard,\u201d the 71-year old Malibu resident gave an eye-opening response:<\/p>\n

\u201cI gotta be very careful with that. The trans community is probably more critical than the general<\/a> public. I have a job. I\u2019ve been successful. I have white privilege, celebrity privilege. I\u2019ve had every privilege there is in the world. And for that, you can\u2019t be a spokesperson for the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ummm\u2026 WOW! There\u2019s a lot to take in there!<\/p>\n

Caitlyn, really??? Ever think that maybe they\u2019re critical (of you<\/em>!) because you have s**tty politics and cultural views that do more harm to the community than good?! Just a thought! Just because a group of people is critical of you, it doesn\u2019t mean they are \u201cmore critical than the general public.\u201d It could just mean you have some s**t you need to work on in your life, and they are rightfully calling you out for it!<\/p>\n

Beyond that disappointing beginning, the KUWTK<\/em> alum quickly doubled down on her Republican beliefs, refusing to explore how the conservative perspectives she backs often work to make life more difficult for non-rich, non-white transgender people.<\/p>\n

The former reality TV star added:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been disappointing [because] I thought I could really make a difference and change the world, And in a lot of ways I did just being myself. But I mean, I try to do things politically. Near the end, I would help some of the organizations here in the Los Angeles area and they would have an event that I helped pay for and they would ask me not to come \u2019cause I\u2019m too controversial.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Again, there\u2019s a reason<\/em> Caitlyn is so controversial!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s wild to see her make herself out to be a victim while at the same time openly acknowledging her other-worldly privilege. The cognitive dissonance is real, y\u2019all!<\/p>\n

Clearly frustrated by the last five years of politics and criticism, Caitlyn summed it up by adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had members of the community just tear into me and that\u2019s like, \u2018Guys, I\u2019m only trying to help them. I\u2019m here to help.\u2019 And, well, I never have been [liberal], and I never will be, you know? I feel like my greatest contribution that I can make is just being out there, without trying to change the world. Just be out there, do shows.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Uhhh, OK. You go do that, girl.<\/p>\n

\u00a1Vaya con dios!<\/p>\n

Back on the family front, Jenner also dished about her daughters on that podcast interview.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s referenced this aspect of their relationship in the past, but the talented amateur golfer doubled down on how much she loves to do fun, athletic stuff with 25-year-old daughter Kendall Jenner<\/strong>, even if she\u2019s tougher to read:<\/p>\n

\u201cKendall and I have a lot in common. She\u2019s very athletic. We kind of both had the same attitude towards life and get along very well, but Kendall\u2019s off kind of doing her thing\u2026 she\u2019s a little more secretive. We\u2019re still very close, but it\u2019s kind of harder to figure out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And that\u2019s lead to an interesting phenomenon: her younger sis, 23-year-old Kylie Jenner<\/strong>, has lately been the one stepping up to pursue family time!<\/p>\n

The retired athlete explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cKylie\u2019s more of an open book. You know, I had dinner last night at Kylie\u2019s house. Once every two weeks I go over there and she always has these great meals prepared. [It\u2019s just] Sophia<\/strong> [Hutchins<\/strong>], Kylie, and myself, and just three of us, nobody around\u2026 we talk for an hour and have a glass of wine and talk about stuff and this and that. And so from that standpoint, we\u2019re a lot closer.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Interesting!<\/p>\n

What do U make of Caitlyn\u2019s comments here, Perezcious readers? It certainly seems like there\u2019s no love lost between her and the transgender community\u2026 but will this interview do more damage to her rep? Or is she already so far on the outs that it doesn\u2019t matter?!<\/p>\n
