\n A Texas woman has spent more than 100 days cooped up at home after testing positive for coronavirus in March, according to a new report.<\/p>\n

Jenny Lorraine, who said she got infected after having heart surgery earlier this year, and told KXAN this week she is still suffering from COVID-19 symptoms.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like I was coming down with the flu and two days later I felt like I was run over by a truck,\u201d Lorraine told the outlet.<\/p>\n

After a month, she told the station, she started regaining strength, but the symptoms never completely vanished.<\/p>\n

Even on her 90th day in isolation, she still had a fever.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy ears are ringing right now, my back hurts so bad, like a fiery pain,\u201d Lorraine told the station at the time.<\/p>\n

During tele-medicine calls, Lorraine\u2019s doctor informed her she was still contagious and needed to remain quarantined.<\/p>\n

Her family is also in isolation \u2014 including her two toddlers who are presumed to have the virus after seeing their doctor, according to the report.<\/p>\n

It typically takes about two weeks for a person to recover from the coronavirus \u2014 and if it lasts several months, there might be underlying issues, Dr. Manish Naik, of Austin Regional Clinic, who did not treat Lorraine, told the station.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf somebody is experiencing something that\u2019s outside of what I consider the norm for this infection, it would be important for that person to make sure there aren\u2019t other things going on,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Some can develop more serious symptoms and get pneumonia.<\/p>\n

The CDC states that people with symptoms can be with others again once they\u2019ve gone three days without a fever and had their respiratory symptoms improve \u2014 as long as 10 days have passed since the symptoms first emerged.<\/p>\n

But after more than three months, Lorraine hasn\u2019t met that criteria.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
