A Florida deputy who allegedly told a colleague he wanted to kill federal officials on the same day of the US Capitol riot was arrested Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Peter Heneen, a deputy with the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office, sent explicit Facebook<\/a> messages to a coworker detailing how he would shoot and kill federal officials, the sheriff\u2019s office said Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Heneen, 29, who has been with the department for more than six years, was suspended pending his termination. <\/p>\n

In the messages, Heneen says his goal was to shoot \u201cthe feds\u201d and make sure \u201cthe streets of DC run red with the blood of these tyrants,\u201d according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

Heneen also texted<\/a>, \u201cShould have [dragged] those tyrants out into the streets and executed them,\u201d and \u201cI will slit their throats if they touch my family. I will make them suffer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Heneen\u2019s co-worker reported him on Jan. 8 as the messages continued to get more violent, Polk Sheriff Grady Judd said. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s been charged with making written threats to kill, conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
