When country singer Garth Brooks belted out a stunning rendition of \u201cAmazing Grace\u201d at President Joe Biden\u2019s inauguration, everyone was thinking the same thing: Did he get hair plugs?<\/p>\n

The 58-year-old aroused suspicions after removing his trademark cowboy hat mid-performance, revealing a much fuller and darker head of hair than he\u2019d sported in recent years. <\/p>\n

The ever-merciless Twitter<\/a>ati was quick to question whether Brooks had received a hair transplant or dye job ahead of the big gig. <\/p>\n

\u201cMy biggest take away from the #Inauguration<\/a> was that Garth Brooks got new hair,\u201d tweeted one eagle-eyed observer<\/a> along with a pic of the musician\u2019s heavily forested head. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey forgot to swear in Garth Brooks\u2019 hair transplant,\u201d joked another.<\/a><\/p>\n

Indeed, photos from 2012 show the \u201cPapa Loved Mama\u201d singer\u2019s mane looking markedly wispier and lighter than the dark locks he rocked at the inaugural bash. <\/p>\n

Nonetheless, others didn\u2019t seem to mind that the Grammy winner might have sported more plugs than his guitar amplifier.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone has to say it. Garth Brooks has great hair plugs,\u201d wrote one supporter<\/a> of the luxuriant locks.<\/p>\n

And in the realm of dye disasters, Brooks\u2019 hair is a far cry from that of Donald Trump\u2019s lawyer Rudy Giuliani,<\/a> who\u2019s recent hair bronzer meltdown gave new meaning to the phrase \u201cmayoral run.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooks has yet to comment on whether or not he remained true to his roots.<\/p>\n

However, cosmetic issues were the least of the Country Music Hall of Famer\u2019s worries leading up to the inauguration. Following his invite from First Lady Jill Biden, Brooks received a backlash from Trump supporters, who wondered why a Republican country singer <\/a>was performing at the inauguration ceremony of a Democrat president. <\/p>\n

Speaking to the media, the country icon described his app<\/a>earance as \u201chow I get to serve this country.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not a political statement,\u201d said Brooks, who has performed at almost every inauguration since Jimmy Carter\u2019s in 1977 (save for Ronald Reagan\u2019s and Trump\u2019s). \u201cThis is a statement of unity.\u201d\u00a0\n <\/p><\/div>\n
