Outlets are already \u201cpraising the newfound veracity of President Biden\u2019s press team,\u201d even though his press secretary has previously been accused of lying to the media. Journalists will spend the next four years ignoring real controversies to debate \u201cjust how cute Joe Biden\u2019s dog is.\u201d Some will seek alternative <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> sources, \u201cbut that will only provoke the media to seek new methods of repressing those alternatives. As it turns out, the commitment of many in our media isn\u2019t to truth or facts. It\u2019s to monopolistic control.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>COVID journal: About Those Predictions of Doom<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An \u201cominous\u201d December story in The Atlantic insisted \u201cIowa Gov. Kim Reynolds\u2019 reluctance to embrace stringent coronavirus lockdown measures resulted in a case spike\u201d and \u201cguaranteed certain disaster,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/the-atlantic-predicted-an-iowa-covid-tsunami-to-discredit-governor-reynolds-but-it-never-materialized\/\">recalls National Review\u2019s Tobias Hoonhout<\/a>. But the \u201ctsunami\u201d never materialized \u2014 the magazine\u2019s own numbers show Iowa cases \u201chave fallen by 47.8 percent\u201d since publication. The Atlantic based its argument on a New York Times story that looked at a single day to conclude that states with few restrictions have the worst outbreaks. In fact, \u201cCalifornia and New York, which have had tight restrictions in place for months, now have worse case and death rates\u201d than Iowa. It\u2019s yet another reminder that \u00admedia coverage \u201coften misses the mark when it posits doomsday predictions or tries to explain case surges through a political lens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conservative: Joe\u2019s \u2018Contempt\u2019 for Trump Voters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Biden\u2019s \u201clackluster unity speech\u201d couldn\u2019t disguise \u201chis continued contempt for\u201d former President Donald Trump\u2019s supporters, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/01\/21\/bidens-lackluster-unity-speech-cant-outshine-his-continued-contempt-for-maga-americans\/\">argues The Federalist\u2019s Kylee Zempel<\/a>. Listeners \u201cwho successfully overcame the \u00adelementary unity <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>\u201d got \u201cwhiplash\u201d from \u201cthe cognitive dissonance in the messaging.\u201d His \u201cfacade of harmony\u201d couldn\u2019t \u201cmask the subtle digs at the many Americans\u201d who didn\u2019t vote for him or Biden\u2019s \u201centhusiasm for narratives to which half the country doesn\u2019t subscribe\u201d \u2014 like \u201csystemic racism\u201d and \u201cimpending climate doom.\u201d Biden believes \u201cwe are racist, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a>-denying, nationalist capitalists,\u201d and \u201chealing is only possible if\u201d we \u201ccommit to\u201d a wide-ranging progressive program. That, apparently, is his idea of \u201cunity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campus beat: Harvard\u2019s Double Standard<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Harvard\u2019s decision to boot Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) from a key committee for supposedly speaking of \u201cvoter fraud\u201d without evidence is an \u201cextraordinary sanction for an institution dedicated to free and open \u00adinquiry,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/harvard-accuses-elise-stefanik-11611011712?mod=opinion_featst_pos3\">laments The Wall Street Journal\u2019s Bill McGurn<\/a> \u2014 one that \u201cdoesn\u2019t seem to be used against Harvard liberals.\u201d Stefanik noted voting irregularities \u201cin the context of constitutional \u00adissues\u201d but also demanded those behind the Capitol violence be prosecuted. As for her objection to certifying electors, Harvard took no action against then-Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., who did likewise in 2001 while serving on the same board as Stefanik. And in 2005, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi even defended her members for objecting to certification, arguing that \u201cdemocracy \u00addepends\u201d on voter confidence in the system.
