\n At least one person was shot when gunfire erupted Friday at a coffee machine facility in Springfield, Illinois, where employees have been evacuated, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The shooting was reported at the Bunn-O-Matic warehouse just after noon EST, WAND-TV reported, citing the Sangamon County sheriff.<\/p>\n

Information about the person shot and was not immedia<\/a>tely available. Police did not say whether anyone else was wounded in the incident at 1400 Adlai Stevenson Drive, the news<\/a> outlet reported.<\/p>\n

There was no information about a possible suspect.<\/p>\n

Carolyn Pemberton, who works across the street from Bunn, told The State-Journal Register that a SWAT team is at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt happ<\/a>ened probably about 25 minutes ago. There is an active shooter. That\u2019s all I know that I got from across the street. It\u2019s kind of scary, I mean our parking lot\u2019s packed with officers and ambulances, and employees are over in the like 1405 building,\u201d she told the news outlet.<\/p>\n

Pemberton said her husband works at Bunn-O-Matic and was \u201ctesting a brewer today to be shipped out and he\u2019s actually locked in a room inside.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cFrom what I can tell you is that it\u2019s very serious. It has not stopped with officers at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police are setting up a command post, Fox Illinois reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe scene is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. A media staging area has been set up at the SE corner of 11th\/Stevenson,\u201d Springfield police said on Facebook, asking people to avoid the area and take alternative routes.<\/p>\n

Bunn-o-Matic, which was founded in 1957, manufactures dispensed beverage equipment, including for coffee and tea.<\/p>\n
