\n The late husband of doomsday-obsessed mom Lori Vallow once tried to warn police about her, saying he was scared she would hurt their children, according to newly released video.<\/p>\n

About a year and a half before Vallow\u2019s two kids, 17-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua \u201cJJ\u201d Vallow, were found dead and buried in her current husband\u2019s Idaho backyard, Charles Vallow was captured on bodycam footage and in 911 call recordings pleading for help.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want her to get help. She\u2019s my wife. I love her to death. Something\u2019s gone wrong. And if she wants me gone, fine, I can do all that stuff. I just don\u2019t want her to hurt [JJ]. I just don\u2019t want her to hurt anybody else,\u201d Vallow told officers from the Gilbert Police Department in Arizona back on Jan. 31, 2019, Inside Edition reported Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got a 6-year-old with special needs,\u201d Charles, referring to Joshua, told one of the officers, who asked if the kid was safe at school.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor now,\u201d Charles replied.<\/p>\n

The 911 call was sparked after Charles returned home from a business trip<\/a> and found his truck missing from the airport\u2019s parking lot and the home he shared with Lori locked. The kids were nowhere to be found, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

In the newly released footage, Charles can be heard explaining to cops he\u2019d filed a petition for an emergency mental health evaluation for Lori but officers needed to physically serve her with it and she wasn\u2019t home.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe meets with [the angel] Moroni and Jesus Christ face to face in the temple every day,\u201d Charles told officers of his then-wife\u2019s troubling alleged delusions.<\/p>\n

In previously released bodycam footage from that same incident, Charles told cops Lori had \u201clost her mind\u201d and threatened to kill him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will kill you because you\u2019re not Charles, and nobody will care,\u201d Charles told police of the purported threat.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if she is going to flee with them, if she\u2019s going to hurt them,\u201d Charles also said when one of the officers asked if Lori was a threat to the children.<\/p>\n

In an effort to get Lori to stick around long enough for the mental health petition to be served, Charles stole her purse, keys and phone, which sent Lori to the police, reporting she\u2019d been robbed, Inside Edition reported.<\/p>\n

Charles agreed to come to the station and return the belongings but begged cops to hold Lori and asked them about the mental health petition.<\/p>\n

Cops said the petition needed to be verified by a sergeant before Lori could be brought to a facility \u2014 and after police told Lori about the petition, they emphasized she wasn\u2019t being held against her will and she didn\u2019t have to stay, the outlet said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring my contact with Lori, I found her to be in a normal state of mind but only slightly upset she did not have her property. Lori showed no signs of mental distress as she described what was occurring and app<\/a>eared to be in a good mood,\u201d an officer wrote in a police report from the incident.<\/p>\n

It was decided that Lori would go to the facility \u201cwillingly\u201d and wouldn\u2019t be transported by police. On the following day, the officer called the facility and was told Lori had checked herself in before being discharged a few hours later, according to a new police report, Inside Edition reported.<\/p>\n

About six months later, Charles was shot dead by Lori\u2019s brother Alex Cox in a move ruled to be self-defense. Cox died himself later that year from a blood clot.<\/p>\n

The news<\/a> comes as newly unsealed documents, released last week, describe the disturbing state of the children\u2019s bodies when they were dug up by investigators.<\/p>\n

Cops discovered that Joshua\u2019s tiny body had been wrapped tightly in plastic and bound with duct tape before being buried in the dirt. Tylee\u2019s body was found to have been dismembered and burned before her various parts were hidden in the earth. It\u2019s not clear if Tylee was chopped up before or after her death.<\/p>\n

Lori rose to headlines late last year when family members reported her children missing and the mom refused to help in the investigation, choosing instead to flee to Hawaii with a new husband.<\/p>\n

She was eventually arrested on desertion charges and was soon joined by her new husband, Chad Daybell, who was charged with concealing, altering or obstructing evidence after the children were found buried in his back yard. He has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n

The two are believed to belong to a doomsday-prepper cult, Preparing a People.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
