“#NYPD looking for attempted knifepoint rape suspect in Queens<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

A man with a knife bit a woman on the hip as he tried to rape her, police said. <\/p>\n

The harrowing incident unfolded Friday evening in Queens, as the victim was walking past along 92nd Street in Woodhaven, police said.<\/p>\n

The man app<\/a>roached from behind, pushing the woman to the ground and flashing a knife as he got on top of her and stole $5, authorities said. <\/p>\n

He then covered the victim\u2019s mouth, warned her not to scream, and began to pull down her pants, \u201cat which point he bit her on her exposed left hip,\u201d police said. <\/p>\n

A Good Samaritan interrupted the attack, and the suspect ran south on 92nd Street. <\/p>\n

The shaken woman \u2014 who suffered a bite wound \u2014 was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, cops said.<\/p>\n

The NYPD is asking for the public\u2019s assistance to identify the attacker \u2014 who is believed to be about 30-years-old with a medium build, black hair, and was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, black shirt, black pants, black shoes and carrying a black backpack, cops said.<\/p>\n
