When you have a public WhatsApp group, adding each new member yourself can be tedious. Thankfully, you have an alternative. WhatsApp allows you to create a shareable link that interested participants can click to join your group instantly. Here\u2019s how to use it.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> To access a group\u2019s link, you must have admin privileges.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Open the WhatsApp app on your\u00a0iPhone<\/a>\u00a0or Android<\/a> device and select your group chat.<\/p>\n

Next, tap your group\u2019s name at the top of the screen to visit its profile page.<\/p>\n

Scroll down toward the bottom of the page and select the \u201cInvite Via Link\u201d option.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll find your group\u2019s link on the following screen.<\/p>\n

You can copy the link by tapping the \u201cCopy Link\u201d button, or you can share it directly with \u201cShare Link.\u201d When you pick the latter or \u201cSend Link Via WhatsApp,\u201d WhatsApp adds a standard invitation text before the link.<\/p>\n

Your group\u2019s link is public, which means that you can even post it on your website or your social feeds to invite people. When someone clicks it, they\u2019ll be able to join it without your additional approval.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also an option to produce a QR code for your group. When you share it, anyone can scan it to join your community.<\/p>\n

In the future, in case your group\u2019s capacity maxes out or you feel like the public link is being spammed, you can reset it from this same menu with the \u201cReset Link\u201d button.<\/p>\n

\"Reset<\/p>\n

Your WhatsApp group\u2019s link is set to remain active indefinitely and only expires when you manually reset it.<\/p>\n

WhatsApp also offers the ability to write this link onto an NFC tag. To do that, tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the \u201cInvite Link\u201d page and select \u201cWrite NFC tag.\u201d Hold your phone up to an NFC tag to initiate the process.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re running a large public WhatsApp group, you should also make sure that members can\u2019t edit its details (such as the name and description) with admin tools.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
