Wednesday wasn\u2019t just Inauguration Day. As depicted by most major news<\/a> networks and outlets, it was The Greatest Day in History since the end of WWII, wall-to-wall coverage from morning till night in praise of our dear leader Joe Biden.<\/p>\n

Kim Jong-Il would kill for this kind of coverage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a faucet that can\u2019t turn off!\u201d said MSNBC\u2019s Rachel Maddow, who told her audience she\u2019d already gone through half a box of Kleenex, so overjoyed she was.<\/p>\n

And it wasn\u2019t just openly liberal pundits slavering over Biden.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmerica\u2019s happ<\/a>y ending,\u201d said John Dickerson, CBS news reporter and \u201c60 Minutes\u201d correspondent.<\/p>\n

\u201cPapa-in-chief,\u201d said Byron Pitts at ABC News.<\/p>\n

Al Roker got a fist-bump. The next morning on \u201cToday,\u201d Savannah and Hoda and Jenna Bush Hager were as giddy as newlyweds.<\/p>\n

Not to mention the 90-minute inauguration night primetime special \u201cCelebrating America,\u201d which aired on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC, headlined by none other than Tom Hanks and Bruce Springsteen.<\/p>\n

All this, let\u2019s be real, over a middling career politician, a creature of the swamp with a troublesome record on race and women\u2019s rights (refusing to apologize for his treatment of Anita Hill during Clarence Thomas\u2019s confirmation hearing) \u2014 not to mention sniffing women\u2019s necks and hair or granting unwanted shoulder massages \u2014 a guy whose eight years as Obama\u2019s VP got him a last-minute endorsement from Obama, who behind the scenes reportedly warned party leaders to \u201cnever underestimate Joe\u2019s ability to f\u2014k things up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe Biden, who seems to have difficulty remembering things or stringing sentences together. A candidate in a do-or-die election who spent the bulk of 2020 in the basement. A candidate selected because he seemed like the most electable \u2014 not the best, just good enough.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s to say nothing of a national media treating every rumor involving Trump as fact \u2014 the Steele dossier, Russian collusion \u2014 while actively suppressing the Hunter Biden scandal or baselessly discrediting it. Twitter and Facebook went even further, banning links to the New York Post coverage; Twitter blocked the Post\u2019s account altogether.<\/p>\n

The liberal media did what it does best: Telling people what to think.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must treat the Hunter Biden leaks as if they were a foreign intelligence operation,\u201d said The Washington Post.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what Ross Douthat said in The New York Times: \u201cOnly right-wing news outlets ran with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Exactly!<\/p>\n

And the carrying on about the dynamic Biden-Harris duo, as if this wasn\u2019t like every other coldblooded lizardly political allegiance, as if Harris is the second coming of Oprah rather than a hardcore prosecutor who jailed poor parents if their kids weren\u2019t in school.<\/p>\n

But WaPo did it again, recently scrubbing a Harris profile of the moment she compared being on the trail \u2014 only one SoulCycle class that morning for her \u2014 to being a prison inmate denied food and water.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour standards really go out the f\u2014king window,\u201d she told the reporter, laughing.<\/p>\n

When Reason magazine asked WaPo why this was deleted, the paper claimed to have merely \u201crepurposed and updated\u201d some of their \u201cstrong biographical pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is Orwellian. Chilling, really. No wonder a new survey from Edelman\u2019s 2021 Trust Barometer found that only 46% of Americans, no matter their political affiliation, say they trust the media. Only 18% of Republicans do.<\/p>\n

At White House press secretary Jen Psaki\u2019s first press conference \u2014 treated as breaking news by NBC \u2014 the American public, weary from a global pandemic and record-breaking joblessness, was elucidated by these hard-hitting questions:<\/p>\n

\u201cCould you just give us some color about what it was like for him to go into the Oval Office? . . . He\u2019s been waiting for this for so long.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHas he planned his first foreign trip<\/a> yet?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWill he keep Donald Trump\u2019s Air Force One color scheme?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you think he\u2019ll ask me to prom?\u201d<\/p>\n

Kidding on that last one.<\/p>\n

Just one day after this loving embrace, Joe Biden reverted to thin-skinned schoolyard form when asked a question he didn\u2019t like \u2014 shockingly, a relevant question about whether he was rolling out vaccines too slowly.<\/p>\n

\u201cCome on,\u201d President Biden snapped. \u201cGimme a break, man!\u201d<\/p>\n

In that moment, Biden acted and sounded a lot like Trump.<\/p>\n

Not that the media would say that.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
