We can\u2019t say that we\u2019re shocked by this, but we are certainly a little bit sad.<\/p>\n<p>Entering this season, we\u2019re not sure that Jefferson has ever been in a place anywhere near this challenged. Following the death of Henderson, he\u2019s suffering what feels like the world\u2019s worst identity crisis. Black Lightning as we know him is gone \u2014 who remains in his place is a mystery. Jefferson also believes, per a certain conversation, that Freeland is lost and there is no sense in a hero protecting them once more. Yet, they\u2019re certainly going to need someone\u2026<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ve probably heard of the phrase \u201cA Hero\u2019s Journey\u201d before in the past; the story for\u00a0<em>Black Lightning\u00a0<\/em>coming up may be more along the lines of a hero\u2019s journey back. This could revolve around how Jefferson finds his way to the light, and to be someone close to who he once was \u2014 even if recent events have changed him dramatically.<\/p>\n<p>Just in case you want a few more details about the premiere itself, be sure to take a look at the attached synopsis:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">SEASON PREMIERE \u2013 Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) is still mourning the death of his long-time friend Detective Henderson. Meanwhile, Gambi (James Remar) is presented with an interesting opportunity. Lastly, Lynn (Christine Adams) and Jefferson are still not able to see eye to eye. Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, Marvin Jones III and Jordan Calloway also star.<\/p>\n<p>If you had not heard the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> already,\u00a0<em>Black Lightning\u00a0<\/em>season 4 is going to be the final one on The CW. When you think about that, it becomes all the more evident that this current story arc is not going to be the final one for Jefferson. We can\u2019t imagine him being this sort of reluctant, tortured hero by the time the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> finale rolls around. The question you have to wonder is therefore this: How does he change?
