“#Watch Future Islands\u2019 NPR \u201cTiny Desk (Home) Concert\u201d<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Future Islands played a so-called \u201cTiny Desk (Home) Concert\u201d in the latest instalment<\/a> of NPR\u2019s beloved series<\/a>. In truth, the four-song set took place neither at a desk nor anybody\u2019s house. The trio instead gathered close to home at Baltimore\u2019s Carroll Baldwin Memorial Hall, where they were backdropped by a redundant stage and drum kit. Watch them play \u201cHit the Coast,\u201d \u201cThe Painter,\u201d \u201cThrill,\u201d and \u201cBalance\u201d below.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Three of the four tracks app<\/a>ear on the band\u2019s latest album, As Long As You Are<\/em>. \u201cBalance\u201d is taken from 2011\u2019s On the Water<\/em>. Since releasing As Long As You Are<\/em> in October, Future Islands have performed on Seth Meyers<\/em> and Colbert<\/em>, and remixed Matt Berninger\u2019s \u201cOne More Second.\u201d<\/p>\n
