Is it hot in this apartment, or is it just the new roommate?<\/p>\n

Last Monday, as part of his search for a room to rent in Brooklyn or downtown Manhattan, Saverio Pescucci<\/a> took to the 284,800-member Gypsy Housing<\/a> group on Facebook<\/a> \u2014 and included a handful of photos<\/a> of himself to put a face to the ad. The Tuscany, Italy, native\u2019s post quickly went viral, netting some 600 likes and more than 400 comments, most having nothing to do with his house hunt.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw a lot of people \u2026 were posting pictures of themselves, like selfies and casual photos, to show that they\u2019re not sociopaths or what kind of lifestyle they have,\u201d Pescucci, 29, told The Post. \u201cI did the same [but] I was not imagining that it would turn into an episode of \u2018The Bachelor.\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n

Among the Italian stallion\u2019s five photos was one of him holding up his toned arms in excitement while on vacation in Arizona, and another that shows Pescucci \u2014 who studied at Milan\u2019s prestigious La Scala ballet academy \u2014 shirtless in an aerial dance move. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think the ballet picture did it,\u201d admitted the dancer, who described himself in his listing as \u201csuper chill, friendly, gay [and] Covid responsible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[The] hot ones are never straight,\u201d said one woman, while another chimed in to say, \u201cYou\u2019re cute \u2026 that\u2019s all I have to offer you. A compliment.\u201d Comments from men included, \u201cYou won\u2019t be paying rent for too long once you get here \u2026 [you\u2019re] f\u2013king hot,\u201d and \u201cI don\u2019t have a room, but I have space in my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pescucci, who has lived in New York City for six years, told The Post that the ad \u201cwasn\u2019t a thirst trap.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was not uncomfortable [with the comments], I just was really overwhelmed,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt was like, like, like, comment, comment, DM, DM. It was just a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

He eventually replied to the wave of adoration. \u201cOmg, just waking up and what is happ<\/a>ening on this post!?!?? I just wanted a room!!!!\u201d he wrote, later adding, \u201cThank you for all the sweet and kind words and help finding a room! I\u2019ll read all the comments as \u2026 soon as I get a chance!\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the commenters was 26-year-old Hassan Salazar, a drag performer who lives in Queens. Among the first to voice his lust, he said, \u201cI don\u2019t have a room but I am single,\u201d later adding, \u201cI\u2019m just here to snatch myself a good man. He can have my apartment lol.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like that he was a dancer and I liked his eyebrows,\u201d Salazar told The Post. \u201cI\u2019m going to consider my marriage proposal as pending.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Pescucci declined to reveal his relationship status, he didn\u2019t rule out the idea of going on a date with a new fan: \u201cLife is unpredictable and you never know. Maybe my future husband will be one of the commenters on this post.\u201d<\/p>\n

No matter what, Pescucci \u2014\u00a0who was put out of work as a Broadway and ballet dancer by the pandemic, but will soon start a job at an Italian food distributor \u2014\u00a0has a new place to show off. He snagged a room in a three-bedroom Williamsburg apartment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe funny thing is that I didn\u2019t find it from the post!\u201d he said, adding he found it through another Gypsy Housing ad.<\/p>\n

When the time comes to hunt for his next apartment, Pescucci said he\u2019ll still use photos of himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe just one or two and keep it a little more simple,\u201d he said. \u201cOr maybe not, if I\u2019m not that desperate to find a room.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n
