The search giant calls the system\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/WICG\/floc\">Federated Learning of Cohorts<\/a> (FLoC).<\/p>\n<p>FLoC (pronounced \u201cflock\u201d) allows\u00a0businesses to send ads to groups of potential customers rather than specific individuals.<\/p>\n<p>The system uses machine learning algorithms to create clusters of people with similar browsing habits. All the data analyzed by the algorithms \u2014 including your web history \u2014 is kept private on the browser and not uploaded anywhere else.<\/p>\n<p>Google says that this <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach effectively hides individuals \u201cin the crowd.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>[Read: How this company leveraged AI to become the Netflix of Finland]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Big G first proposed using FLoC instead of individual identifiers last year.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the company released new data\u00a0from simulations of the technique conducted by\u00a0Google\u2019s ads team.
