Twitter is still targeting users who share reporting related to The Post\u2019s Hunter Biden expos\u00e9 \u2014 this time by blocking conservative radio host Dana Loesch from joining Birdwatch, the platform\u2019s new campaign to root out disinformation.<\/p>\n

Loesch, the former spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association who hosts the national radio show \u201cThe Dana Show,\u201d tweeted that she couldn\u2019t sign up for Birdwatch because she received a violation for tweeting her own story related to The Post\u2019s bombshell in October.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe violation was @Twitter locking my account for sharing a story I wrote about big tech\u2019s reaction to the NYP\/Hunter Biden story,\u201d Loesch tweeted Monday<\/a>, the day the platform launched the crowdsourced tool designed to target misinformation.<\/p>\n

A screenshot Loesch shared noted, \u201cunfortunately, Birdwatch is not available to you at this time\u201d with Twitter deeming that her account had a \u201crecent notice of Twitter Rules violations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loesch\u2019s Twitter account was suspended<\/a> for sharing her own story about The Post\u2019s report \u2014 which revealed emails from Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop that showed he tried to sell access to his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n

Citing its \u201chacked materials\u201d policy, Twitter locked The Post\u2019s account for two weeks \u2014 as well as booted users who tweeted about the story.<\/p>\n

The policy was later amended and The Post\u2019s Twitter was restored \u2014 with CEO Jack Dorsey eventually admitting that the restrictive measure was a \u201cmistake.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loesch pointed out that despite Dorsey\u2019s about-face, she was still barred from joining Birdwatch.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Twitter launched Birdwatch<\/a>, a Wikipedia-esque function that allows people to flag misleading posts and write notes that provide more context. During its pilot, those notes \u2014 which will also be rated by users, similar to Reddit \u2014 will only be visible on Birdwatch\u2019s separate platform.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s be real: @birdwatch will mainly be progressives gaslighting center and right-of-center stories,\u201d Loesch tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a statement, a Twitter spokeswoman acknowledged \u201cat this time we are not currently admitting accounts who have received notification of a rule violation within the last year.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the pilot progresses we may modify some of our current eligibility requirements as we learn more about how people use this feature and as we work toward our goal to promote high quality context that people find helpful,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

Twitter has faced scrutiny for failing to address violent content \u2014 including most recently posts of a teenage sex-trafficking victim \u2014 despite moving swiftly to ban former President Donald Trump\u2019s account following the deadly Capitol riots of Jan. 6.<\/p>\n

The San Francisco-headquartered tech giant also recently took a \u201cglobal app<\/a>roach\u201d to cracking down on the spread of conspiracy theories.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
