Two Virginia police officers who were federally charged with storming the US Capitol earlier this month have been fired from their jobs. <\/p>\n

Jacob Fracker and Thomas Robertson were both axed from the Rocky Mount Police Department after being put on administrative leave for being inside the Capitol during the deadly riot on Jan. 6, the Town of Rocky Mount said in a statement<\/a> Tuesday. <\/p>\n

The two ex-cops bragged on social media<\/a> they broke into the building and were even photographed in front of a statue with one of them holding up his middle finger in front of the camera, according to a criminal complaint. <\/p>\n

Both men have been charged with unlawful entry into a restricted area and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.<\/p>\n

On social media, Robertson posted, \u201cCNN and the Left are just mad because we actually attacked the government who is the problem and not some random small business \u2026 The right IN ONE DAY took the f\u2014\u2013g U.S. Capitol. Keep poking us,\u201d the complaint states.<\/p>\n

Robertson also said on Instagram he was \u201cproud\u201d of the photo because he was \u201cwilling to put skin in the game<\/a>,\u201d court papers say.<\/p>\n

Fracker and Robertson previously told The Roanoke Times <\/a>they did nothing wrong and never participated in the violence that unfolded at Capitol Hill.\n <\/div>\n
