If you thought \u201cFearless Girl\u201d was a bad look for the Wall Street bull, wait till you see this.<\/p>\n

The latest playful addition to Arturo Di Modica\u2019s \u201cCharging Bull\u201d sculpture\u00a0in downtown Manhattan involves a four-foot, smiling pile of poop that creator comedian Ryan Dee hopes to make a more permanent part of the scenery.<\/p>\n

Dee \u2014 \u00a0who has discreetly placed the cartoonish, bronze-colored\u00a0sculpture behind the bull several times this year already \u2014 \u00a0says he plans to ask the New York City Parks Department for a permit to officially display the sculpture at least one day a year.
\u201cI would like to put it there with a proper permit,\u201d he said. \u201cI would love to do this annually.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, we\u2019ve seen this show before and it didn\u2019t end well. In March 2017, State Street placed a bronze ponytailed girl statue with hands on hips to face the 7,100 pound \u201cRaging Bull.\u201d The \u201cFearless Girl\u201d statue by artist Kristen Visbal became an instant tourist and social media hit for symbolizing female empowerment, but it was criticized as a marketing stunt and ultimately moved in 2018.<\/p>\n

Dee\u2019s work also has its detractors. \u201cThis only encourages other a\u2013holes to do something inapp<\/a>ropriate to The Bull,\u201d Bowling Green Association President Arthur Piccolo told The Post, saying he didn\u2019t want Dee getting any publicity for his disrespectful work.<\/p>\n

While Dee\u2019s pile of feces \u00a0doesn\u2019t appear to be attracting the kind of attention \u201cFearless Girl\u201d did, it had its share of fans \u2014 and double takes \u2014 on Monday, when he covertly displayed it for several hours. <\/p>\n

\u201cI love it,\u201d Toni Sims from Riverside, Calif., who was taking pictures with her husband by Dee\u2019s sculpture said. \u201cIt fits the current times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dee says he\u2019s comfortable if viewers see the sculpture, which he describes as \u201cwhimsical,\u201d as a comment on Wall Street greed. He hung a sign off a pipe next to his sculpture saying, \u201cPlease Clean Up After Your Pets.\u201d<\/p>\n

Young people are drawn to it, he said. \u201cKids freak out,\u201d Dee said.<\/p>\n

Dee says he is aiming to get a city permit to display the foam-and-plaster creation, which he spent months designing and crafting before handing it off to artist Paige Tooker to paint, starting next January.<\/p>\n

\u201cA year is a good amount of time to push it through,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m trying to do this the right way.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
