{"id":164225,"date":"2021-01-27T17:15:37","date_gmt":"2021-01-27T14:15:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/top-ethereum-conference-devcon-is-delayed-again\/"},"modified":"2021-01-27T17:15:37","modified_gmt":"2021-01-27T14:15:37","slug":"top-ethereum-conference-devcon-is-delayed-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/top-ethereum-conference-devcon-is-delayed-again\/","title":{"rendered":"# Top Ethereum conference Devcon is delayed again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong># Top Ethereum conference Devcon is delayed again <\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/images\/840_aHR0cHM6Ly9zMy5jb2ludGVsZWdyYXBoLmNvbS91cGxvYWRzLzIwMjEtMDEvYTVkMjhhMjAtNDBmNi00M2I1LWJmZTgtYmQ1ODhiYTk1MTJlLmpwZw==.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-5a136f3a>Devcon, one of the biggest conferences for the Ethereum community and developers, has been delayed again due to uncertainty around the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Tuesday\u00a0announcement,\u00a0the Ethereum Foundation <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.ethereum.org\/2021\/01\/26\/the-longer-road-to-devcon\/\">decided<\/a> to hold off on the conference in Bogota instead of going ahead with its previously announced August target.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to make sure we do this responsibly and that as many people as possible are able to make the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> from all around the world, which seems unlikely by early August,\u201d the blog post reads.<\/p>\n<p>The Devcon team said that it expects to announce a new date for the event soon:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhile nothing is guaranteed given the ongoing pandemic, we\u2019re hopeful that a new date announcement is possible soon with the availability of COVID-19 vaccines ramping up now, and updated pandemic-related trends improving.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Ethereum Foundation added that the community still expects other Ethereum-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theme<\/a>d events in the summer, including the Ethereum France-hosted EthCC event that is now scheduled to take place in July. The foundation promised to provide more information like ticketing and speaker applications as soon as it is able to make date-related announcements.<\/p>\n<p>Devcon has been on hold since the Ethereum Foundation postponed Devcon VI in May 2020. The last Devcon V conference took place in October 2019 in Osaka.
