Following jaw-dropping claims of his freaky cannibalism fetish, the trailer for the upcoming indie thriller \u201cCrisis\u201d featuring Hammer has dropped.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the Golden Globe nominee\u2019s first film since his alleged cannibal-kink texts surfaced, the 34-year-old plays an agent hunting down a drug kingpin behind a multi-cartel fentanyl smuggling operation between the US and Canada.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sandwiched amongst box office big wigs Gary Oldman, Evangeline Lilly and Greg Kinnear, Hammer\u2019s app<\/a>earance in the \u201cCrisis\u201d teaser comes just days after the actor announced his exit from forthcoming flick <\/a>\u201cShotgun Wedding,\u201d starring Jennifer Lopez.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His decision to \u201cstep away\u201d from the Lionsgate\u00a0production came shortly after the cannibalism\u00a0allegations emerged on social media<\/a> in early January.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not responding to these bulls\u2013t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience<\/a> now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic,\u201d Hammer said in a statement to Page Six, adding, \u201cLionsgate is supporting me in this and I\u2019m grateful to them for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Suspicions regarding \u201cThe Social Network\u201d star\u2019s interests first went viral via anonymous Instagram account @houseofeffie.\u00a0The profile leaked a series<\/a> of text message screenshots in which Hammer allegedly admits his appetite for people parts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI am 100% a cannibal,\u201d one of the Hollywood heavy-hitter\u2019s alleged messages read. \u201cI want to eat you. F\u2013k. That\u2019s scary to admit. I\u2019ve never admitted that before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hammer\u2019s ex-girlfriend, Courtney Vucekovich, 32, likened the actor to fictional flesh-fiend Hannibal Lecter. She exclusively told Page Six<\/a>: \u201cHe said to me he wants to break my rib and barbecue and eat it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another former lover of Hammer\u2019s Paige Lorenze told Page Six<\/a> that the \u201cCall Me By Your Name\u201d frontman enjoyed knife-play and would intentionally scar her for his own sexual satisfaction.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would cut off underwear or bras and use the knife and put it all over my body,\u201d Lorenze, 22, said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lawyers for Hammer denied the abuse allegations, saying in part: \u201cThe stories\u00a0being perpetuated in the media are a misguided attempt to present a one-sided narrative with the goal of tarnishing Mr. Hammer\u2019s reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCrisis\u201d is set to hit movie theaters nationwide on Feb. 26, and will be available for VOD streaming March 5.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
