On-chain sleuths were quick to investigate the listing, and found <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/address\/0x293ed38530005620e4b28600f196a97e1125daac\">two<\/a> closely-related <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/address\/0x95abda53bc5e9fbbdce34603614018d32ced219e\">wallets<\/a> containing over 1000 ETH, staked Aave, and SUSHI, as well as smaller amounts of dozens of other projects. Cuban appear to acknowledge that the wallets were his in another Tweet: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I definitely got my share of shitcoins lol.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mark Cuban (@mcuban) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mcuban\/status\/1354601598673158146?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 28, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>While the cryptoTwitter community was taking a victory lap at the prospects of an influential billionaire holding some of their bags, Cuban did pour some cold water on the mania. Just a day after selling his own NFTs, Cuban appeared to question whether the high-prices NFTs have been attracting are sustainable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When asked on CNBC this <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/video\/2020\/12\/28\/expect-a-shift-toward-cyclical-and-value-sectors-biden-presidency-2021.html\">morning <\/a>about if the current hubbub surrounding the runs on heavily shorted stocks worried him, he said he\u2019d \u201chedged the heck out of my portfolio, absolutely it has me worried.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re seeing speculation everywhere, because as assets have inflated, you\u2019ve seen it across a whole range of assets, whether its cryptocurrency, whether its trading cards, whether its nonfungible tokens, you know, whether its housing, when you\u2019ve got such low interests rates you\u2019re gonna get appreciable assets inflating,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The statement seems to imply that his dip into DeFi and NFTs is more of an experiment \u2014 building on a previous Tweet where he said he likes to \u201ctry all this stuff out.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In fact, his long-term view on the markets as interest rates rise over the next decade is a distinctly gloomy outlook, as he told CNBC:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThen people will have different decision criteria and that will certainly deflate, I don\u2019t want to call it a bubble because it\u2019s reality given interest rates, but there will be a deflation of some sort in those appreciable assets, and it will be scary when that happens.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
