DOGE last traded for $0.073 at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<p>The sudden DOGE parabola has been attributed to an organized pump carried out by members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reddit<\/a> group r\/WallStreetBets \u2014 who were found to have engineered the recent short-squeeze that triggered international lockdowns on the trade of video <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> retailer Gamestop\u2019s shares.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-01\/794bbd6e-5f56-4333-a9fc-72ddb261a818.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\">DOGE\/USD chart since 2013: <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/dogecoin\">CoinGecko<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Amid the frenzied rally, crypto data aggregator TheTIE reported that Dogecoin had become the subject of nearly 90,000 tweets, becoming the first altcoin to generate a larger Twitter-volume than Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>The spike in DOGE\u2019s social signals was also bolstered by a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1354924057825837060\">tweet<\/a> from Dogecoin\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2020\/12\/20\/investing\/elon-musk-bitcoin-dogecoin\/index.html\">self-described<\/a> former CEO, Tesla chief executive Elon Musk.
