Rush Limbaugh compared Robinhood\u2019s freeze in the GameStop stock frenzy to the political elites undermining former President Donald Trump\u2019s populist policies. <\/p>\n

\u201cFolks, it\u2019s not just political now,\u201d the conservative radio show host said Thursday. \u201cThe elites are bent out of shape that a bunch of average, ordinary users have figured out how to make themselves billionaires.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are those who are allowed to make a lot of money and those of you who aren\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIf you figure out how to make a lot of money, and if you\u2019re like Donald Trump and you figure out how to get elected, if you figure out how to beat the Deep State, they\u2019re gonna come and they\u2019re gonna wipe you out. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re gonna destroy you, and that\u2019s what\u2019s happ<\/a>ening with GameStop.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Thursday, stock-trading app Robinhood put the kibosh on investors snapping up shares of GameStop and other companies following the whirlwind stock surge sparked by Reddit<\/a> forum r\/WallStreetBets.<\/p>\n

Robinhood reversed course on Friday, allowing \u201climited buys\u201d in GameStop shares.<\/p>\n

But Limbaugh said the initial move made it clear that there are \u201cthose who are allowed to make a lot of money\u201d and those who aren\u2019t.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow they\u2019re actually making it clear to anybody that has the ability to notice that you\u2019re not allowed to use the stock market the way they do, you\u2019re not allowed to profit, you\u2019re not allowed to make the kind of money they do,\u201d he explained. <\/p>\n

Limbaugh added, \u201cWith this GameStop story, and the revelations contained in it, the elites, the same people that were hell-bent on getting rid of Donald Trump, the same people are now trying to tell you what you can or can\u2019t do with your money.\u201d<\/p>\n

Calling the GameStop boom \u201cthe most fascinating thing\u201d to happen in a long time, the commentator said it shows that \u201ceverything is rigged in favor of the elites.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
