Robin Wright is using her extra time at home amid the pandemic to brush up on her film knowledge. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think my guilty pleasure of releasing the days is getting in bed and watching a movie on Criterion Channel,\u201d Wright, 54, said during The Cut\u2019s \u201cHow I Get It Done\u201d virtual panel at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday. \u201cThere\u2019s so many movies<\/a> that I haven\u2019t seen I realize\u2026to see old films that you can\u2019t find anywhere else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wright, who is premiering \u201cLand\u201d at the festival, noted Alfred Hitchcock\u2019s 1956 film \u201cThe Man Who Knew Too Much\u201d really left a mark on her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a great film, and you get to see also how everybody steals a little bit from this person a little bit from this person,\u201d she said, laughing. \u201c\u2026It\u2019s so trip<\/a>py to watch these 1940s movies and go, \u2018Oh my God, now I see where that director got that idea.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Actress and director Zoe Lister-Jones, who is debuting \u201cHow It Ends\u201d at the festival and also participated in the chat, said she\u2019s been catching up on iconic shows and movies she has never been able to see.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also am watching so much content because that is the thing to do,\u201d she joked, adding that she watched \u201cThe Sopranos\u201d in full.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started to like write creative nonfiction about my childhood,\u201d she added of her downtime in the pandemic. \u201cIt\u2019s like journaling but telling the story of yourself, which I\u2019ve found an interesting practice and exercise to dissect things in a new way about how I\u2019ve gotten here.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
