It was the last <em>SNL<\/em> before the Presidential Inauguration gave us renewed hope for a year that wouldn\u2019t be quite so full of nightmarish days.<\/p>\n<p>With the first<em> SNL<\/em> of 2021, you can feel that rejuvenation with first-time host <strong>John Krasinski<\/strong> taking the stage. Maybe it\u2019s because there\u2019s barely a mention of the former President of the United States, but this episode was full of energy, and even the bad sketches were full of life, despite not floundering on the comedy side of things.<span id=\"more-656213\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Best\"><\/span>The Best<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Loser - SNL\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gQYH_FG1Ztc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><strong>The Loser<\/strong> \u2013 It\u2019s about time Andrew Dismukes got a chance to shine. Even though this is mostly John Krasinski\u2019s sketch, as the brother he\u2019s trying to defend, Dismukes has some really funny interludes while embarrassing monologue continues. This sketch had me rolling. The endless list of weird flaws, especially the extended de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion of what\u2019s wrong with the little brother\u2019s genitals, is pure gold. I wish the last joke packed a little stronger of a punch, but there\u2019s no denying this was the best of the night.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Twins - SNL\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i-uYAtlhLXY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Twins<\/strong> \u2013 At first, I was a little worried that there was going to be another sketch addressing the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reddit<\/a> stock market situation after it was already covered about as well as it needed to be in the cold open. Thankfully, this turned into something much better, using the now common scenario of cable <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> interviews unfolding from the home\u2019s of various anchors, analysts, and experts. Kate McKinnon and Mikey Day are equally terrifying and funny as these unnerving twins, and the escalating fear from Beck Bennett combined with Cecily Strong\u2019s nonchalant dismissing of him only makes it better.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Subway Pitch - SNL\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xkkiCKIukLQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Subway Pitch<\/strong> \u2013 Whenever Beck Bennett puts on a little bit of a tough guy accent from New York or Chicago, I know that I\u2019m probably going to love a sketch. Throw in John Krasinski doing the same thing, and I\u2019m fully on board. The fact that the sketch is about advertising for Sunday only makes the proceedings even funnier.
