Rapp<\/a>er Ja Rule, one of Game<\/a>Stop\u2019s more famous investors, wants the little guy to keep trading. <\/p>\n

The Grammy-nominated artist joined CNBC\u2019s \u201cSquawk Alley\u201d Monday to talk all things GameStop and Robinhood, after the millennial investing app restricted trading on some stocks. <\/p>\n

\u201cI love Robinhood. It puts the stock market in your pocket,\u201d he said. \u201cBut I was really upset at what they did the other day. It kind of felt like everything they stood for \u2014 even their name, you know, Robinhood \u2014 kind of went in the dumps on what they did by freezing some of the trading on some of the stocks.\u201d<\/p>\n

His tone was much less emphatic than it was on Thursday, when he bought the heavily shorted GameStop. <\/p>\n

\u201cYo this is a f\u2013king CRIME what @RobinhoodApp is doing,\u201d\u00a0Ja Rule tweeted Thursday<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDO NOT SELL!!! HOLD THE LINE\u2026 WTF.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

But on Monday, the rapper, who was interviewed from what appeared to be his home office, kept looking to his computer screen while answering questions in a more muted tone.<\/p>\n

After giving a \u201cshoutout\u201d to Reddit<\/a>\u2019s WallStreetbets investors who are \u201cshaking things up\u201d and driving up meme stocks like GameStop, AMC and Blackberry, Ja Rule said: \u201cMy advice to whoever who is following what\u2019s going on is to be very careful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere have been some people who made some money on those stocks of course, but be very careful, there have also been a lot of people who have lost money on those stocks,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Ja Rule, who was the co-founder of fraudulent luxury music festival, Fyre Festival, was then asked to share his views on the similar viral craze engulfing Robinhood and shorted stocks of companies like AMC and GameStop that are \u201cdoing badly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead of drawing a parallel between Robinhood and the quick demise of Fyre, which was built on social media hype and fraudulent deals, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cRobinhood gotta let people trade. You gotta people trade, man.,\u201d he said. \u201cI think the real situation that\u2019s going on is, I don\u2019t think the CEO had the money to cover the actual money that was going through the platform, you know the margins. I don\u2019t think he had enough to cover the margins. I think that\u2019s what the freezing is about.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just looks like he\u2019s playing into the hands of the big Wall Street and the big hedge fund guys, like he\u2019s siding with those guys, instead of letting the little guy trade.\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople are mad, people are angry and they should be,\u201d the rapper continued. \u201cThis is the app that claims it is about free trade and they took that power away from people.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
