“#Twitter<\/a> bans MyPillow account after post from CEO Mike Lindell<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Twitter shut down MyPillow\u2019s corporate account after CEO Mike Lindell used it to circumvent his own ban from the platform.<\/p>\n

Twitter said it permanently suspended MyPillow for violating its policy against \u201cban evasion.\u201d The bedding maker had posted a message from Lindell, who was booted from the social network last week over his bogus claims about election fraud.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to everyone who has supported MyPillow during this time\u2026..Jack Dorsey is trying to cancel me (Mike Lindell) out!\u201d the company tweeted<\/a> Sunday, referring to Twitter\u2019s chief executive.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extremely busy and hiring as fast as we can to handle all the shipping!\u201d the post added. \u201cJack will be found out and should be put in prison when all is revealed!\u201d<\/p>\n

The MyPillow account also promoted Lindell\u2019s Monday app<\/a>earance on a radio show where he planned to discuss his bogus conspiracy theory about voting machines being tampered with to sway the 2020 election in President Biden\u2019s favor, according to screenshots captured by another Twitter user.<\/p>\n

MyPillow did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday, but Lindell condemned Twitter\u2019s decision in an interview with USA Today<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t believe they\u2019re doing this to my company,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cThey\u2019re out to destroy me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lindell \u2014 a staunch ally of ex-president Donald Trump \u2014 spread baseless election fraud rumors on his own Twitter account as well as MyPillow\u2019s before Twitter permanently suspended him for violating its civic integrity policy.<\/p>\n

Dominion Voting Systems has threatened Lindell with a lawsuit for falsely accusing the company of \u201cstealing millions of votes.\u201d <\/p>\n

Twitter\u2019s rules bar banned users from posting messages through other accounts. The San Francisco-based company similarly suspended Trump\u2019s campaign account after he tried to release a statement through it following his own ban from Twitter.<\/p>\n

MyPillow had also used its account to promote its products and Lindell\u2019s memoir, \u201cWhat Are the Odds<\/a>?,\u201d according to USA Today. The account had about 41,700 followers as of Jan. 21, an archived version of its profile<\/a> shows.<\/p>\n
