However, since that tweet, Bitcoin\u2019s price has been correcting as the entire push through Elon Musk got retraced.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, Bitcoin\u2019s price is facing a crucial hurdle at $35,000-35,200 area before an all-time high test. Once that area breaks and flips for support, continuation toward a new all-time high is likely. <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_doesnt_hold_35K_and_has_to_flip_this_for_support\"><\/span>Bitcoin doesn\u2019t hold $35K and has to flip this for support<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-02\/41dbcfd5-deb0-4eca-ba89-5d87fadd6955.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>XBT\/USD 3-hour chart. Source: <\/em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/x\/VUPtcbpO\/\"><em>TradingView<\/em><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The 3-hour chart shows a clear downtrend structure with the &#8220;Elon Musk pump&#8221; outlier. This downward structure was established since the peak high at $42,000 earlier in the year. <\/p>\n<p>This downtrend has seen lower highs and lower lows, which can be seen in the chart. Therefore, there is a good possibility that this downtrend continues.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If BTC breaks the $35,000 barrier, the $38,000 resistance zone level should not much of a problem for the bulls. The next likely major area of resistance will be around $40,500.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, if Bitcoin\u2019s price can\u2019t break through $35,000, a renewed retest of the $30,000 level is on the table. Given that the $30,000 test has seen many tests since the previous all-time high, there is a good chance that this level will be lost. In this case, an even further correction toward $25,000-26,000 is on the table.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"21-Week_MA_is_currently_acting_at_21000\"><\/span>21-Week MA is currently acting at $21,000<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-02\/e346fb43-7be3-489d-ad62-21b2bec7dc9b.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>BTC\/USD 1-week chart. In the previous bull cycle, this one has been providing sustainable support for the entire period. <\/p>\n<p>If the market corrects further, however, a retest of the previous all-time high in 2017 remains unlikely. In other words, everybody and their mother will be buying there, so the market will likely not provide this opportunity. <\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the likelihood of another further correction to $24,000-26,000 is still there and this would also fill a CME gap alongside a test of the 21-Week MA.<\/p>\n<p>However, such a correction depends on whether Bitcoin\u2019s price could break through $35,000.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_bullish_scenario_for_Bitcoin\"><\/span>The bullish scenario for Bitcoin<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-02\/d32fe35f-7145-4f99-ba41-a60634809fd9.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>XBT\/USD 4-hour chart. But since BTC has tested this once already, it is more likely to see resistance at $40,500.\u00a0Therefore, if Bitcoin\u2019s price breaks through the $35,000 area, continuation is expected to $40,500.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_bearish_scenario_for_Bitcoin\"><\/span>The bearish scenario for Bitcoin<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-02\/c83e9bb7-42bf-4986-82a7-3a75b5b03d7f.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>XBT\/USD 4-hour chart. Source: <\/em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/x\/W5dKTdHh\/\"><em>TradingView<\/em><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The bearish scenario is also straightforward with $35,000 holding as resistance for further downside.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The first support is the $32,000 area, which has been tested several times and will likely fail as support. The next area is found between $29,000-30,000, which has also been tested many times for support.<\/p>\n<p>A renewed test and falling through this level would open up the door to $25,000. This would line up with the CME gap and the 21-Week MA.
