Comic Natalie reported<\/span><\/a> tonight that as of the release of volume 98 of One Piece<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a> <\/span>in Japan on February 4, the series<\/a> has sailed past 480 million copies printed (physical versions) and sold (digital versions) around the world<\/strong>. To celebrate the incredible milestone and the release of the new volume, the series is running a TikTok campaign with filters, effects, and even a special hashtag.<\/p>\n

Of the 480 million copies <\/strong>of the legendary manga series, 400 million copies <\/strong>have been printed and sold in Japan, with 80 million<\/strong> in the rest of the world, increasing its lead as the top-selling manga series of all time (Dragon Ball <\/strong><\/em>comes in second with an estimated 280 million copies worldwide). Eiichiro Oda<\/strong>'s adventure series also reach 1,000 chapters earlier this year, kick-starting a worldwide poll<\/span><\/a> to see who is the most popular One Piece<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a> <\/span>character of all time. <\/p>\n

To celebrate the release of One Piece<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a> <\/span>volume 98, the series is giving away 10 replica original drawings of the manga to people who use the hashtag #\u9ea6\u308f\u3089\u306e\u4e00\u5473\u306e\u8ca0\u3051\u308b\u6c17\u304c\u3057\u306d\u30a7\u30c1\u30e3\u30ec\u30f3\u30b8 on TikTok. Effects and filters from the series will be featured on the platform until the promotion finishes on February 18. <\/p>\n
