\n Surveillance video shows groups of thieves repeatedly ransacking an electronics store amid widespread looting across New York City earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Video clips with time stamps late on June 1 show a parade of crooks entering the store and gingerly stepping over broken glass and other debris as they picked through the merchandise.<\/p>\n

In one clip, a looter was recorded using a suitcase to smash the top of a display case.<\/p>\n

At several points, the thieves panicked and ran out, app<\/a>arently scared by the sound of police sirens.<\/p>\n

Mubbashir Khan, 24, of Queens, identified the store as \u201cToday\u2019s Mobile\u201d at 1 E. 28th St. in Manhattan, which he said is owned by his dad.<\/p>\n

Khan said that the videos document the second night of back-to-back looting at the store, and that his dad tried in vain to protect the place with plywood following the first break-in \u2014 but that it was torn down by the criminals.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy father opened the store in 2004 and he put a lot of sweat into running a successful business, and all that hard work ended in one or two nights,\u201d Khan, 24, told The Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is so upset and beaten, physically and mentally. He wants to reopen, but he doesn\u2019t know if he will be able to.\u201d<\/p>\n

June 1 marked the city\u2019s worst night of looting sparked by protests over the police killing of George Floyd, with Macy\u2019s flagship store in Herald Square among the businesses that were targeted.<\/p>\n

The family also owns a second store, at 914 7th Ave., just south of Central Park, that was also looted on June 1, Khan said.<\/p>\n

A total of about $150,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from both stores, he said.<\/p>\n

The NYPD said it had a record of only one burglary, around 1:30 a.m. on June 1 at the East 28th Street location.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made, the NYPD said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
