Trisha Noble, who app<\/a>eared in two \u201cStar Wars\u201d films, died after a battle with mesothelioma, the Daily Mail reported<\/a>. She was 76.<\/p>\n

Noble died on Jan. 23, days before her 77th birthday, according to Daily Mail, from complications from a tumor caused by inhaled asbestos fibers.<\/p>\n

In the \u201cStar Wars\u201d franchise, Noble was Jobal Naberrie, the mother of Padm\u00e9 Amidala played by Natalie Portman. She can be seen in 2002\u2019s \u201cStar Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones\u201d and 2005\u2019s \u201cStar Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.\u201d However, her scenes were reportedly cut from the final Episode II version and appear solely on DVD extras.<\/p>\n

Born Patricia Ann Ruth Noble, the Aussie got her start on the TV show \u201cBandstand\u201d and ended up having a pop music career, performing as\u00a0Patsy Ann Noble in the 1960s in the UK and US. She also starred<\/a> as Sergeant Rosie Johnson on the police drama \u201cStrike Force.\u201d<\/p>\n

She later moved back to Australia and played Miss Jacobs\/Mrs. Crown in the 2017 Australian production of \u201cLadies in Black,\u201d the Daily Mail reported.<\/p>\n
