The market\u2019s GameStop fever app<\/a>ears to have broken, but other stocks are now starting to feel a bit warm.<\/p>\n

Shares in the much-discussed video game retailer were down over 33 percent by midday Thursday, adding to a steep decline that has the key player in the so-called \u201cReddit Rally\u201d down more than 81 percent this week. Day traders, meanwhile, appear to be turning their interest to other areas like small pharmaceutical stocks.<\/p>\n

Stock in AMC Entertainment, a second-favorite \u201cmeme stock\u201d for retail traders using Reddit boards like WallStreetBets to topple hedge fund managers they believe are rigging the system, is down more than 45 percent on the week.<\/p>\n

Despite the declines, which have resulted prominent \u201cReddit rally\u201d investors like Dave Portnoy announcing big losses, the message boards remain filled with optimistic posts and speculation that the slide is merely more Wall Street manipulation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a second wave of GME coming and here\u2019s why,\u201d Reddit user Meminem posted Thursday morning. \u201cAfter hearing about you heroes on the news<\/a> I decided to open an Etrade account (because this is the second time I\u2019ve seen Robinhood freeze its own clientele out of fat gainz), and those funds are taking 5 days to become available.\u201d<\/p>\n

But while many old and new Redditors remain committed to \u201cholding the line\u201d despite the carnage, others appear to have found new grass to graze on.<\/p>\n

\u201cDid my research, avoided hype stocks, and put $30k into [Cassava Science<\/a>s] on a whim yesterday,\u201d Redditor Medthrowaway1121 posted on Wednesday, sharing what appeared to be a screenshot of trading account that showed a $64,300 profit on the stock in one day.<\/p>\n

Cassava, a relatively small drug manufacturer that recently announced good news on its drug to treat Alzheimer\u2019s, has seen its shares surge 280 percent this week and it\u2019s not alone. <\/p>\n

Shares in small-cap Annovis Bio popped more than 145 percent since Friday while Anavex Life Sciences has seen its shares soar more than 145 percent on the week, buoyed by a 70 percent pop on Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All three firms are also reporting positive momentum on Alzheimer\u2019s treatments.<\/p>\n

Reddit boards like WallStreetBets are lighting up with users signaling their rotation, using screengrabs to tout their apparent gains. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhile everyone was busy with [GameStop] tendies,\u201d one user wrote, using slang for stock profits. \u201cI was eating tendies elsewhere.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
