Ryan Seacrest has dropped the mic.<\/p>\n

The longtime figure on \u201cE!\u2019s Live From the Red Carpet\u201d is stepping away from the awards-show grind. <\/p>\n

\u201cAfter 14 years of hosting \u2018E!\u2019s Live from the Red Carpet,\u2019 I\u2019ve decided to move on to new adventures,\u201d wrote<\/a> Seacrest in an Instagram post on Thursday afternoon. The 46-year-old mogul and his co-host, Giuliana Rancic, 46, have been well-known figures on the starry preshow circuit that includes the Oscars, Grammys, Golden Globes and the Emmys.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll miss the whole crew that works so hard behind the scenes and of course my amazing partner Giuliana,\u201d he continued. \u201cThanks to everyone for watching all these years.\u201d<\/p>\n

The network sent accolades his way. <\/p>\n

\u201cE! has long enjoyed our relationship with Ryan over the years especially as co-host of E!\u2019s signature red carpet series<\/a>,\u201d the network said in a statement to The Post. \u201cHe has been instrumental in giving viewers a front row seat to some of Hollywood\u2019s biggest nights. We are extremely app<\/a>reciative of his many contributions and he will always be part of the E! family.\u201d<\/p>\n

No replacement has been named yet. The next big show of the awards season is the Golden Globes on Sunday, Feb. 28.<\/p>\n

Numerous celebrity fans lauded his decade-plus role, with \u201cThe Bachelor\u201d host Chris Harrison saluting his \u201camazing run\u201d and fashionista Brad Goreski calling him a \u201clegend.\u201d<\/p>\n

The move could be a much-needed break for New York-based Seacrest, who last year listed<\/a> his Beverly Hills home and still has plenty \u2014 perhaps too much<\/a> \u2014 on his plate. In addition to steering his syndicated radio show \u201cOn Air with Ryan Seacrest,\u201d he sits alongside Kelly Ripa as co-host of ABC daytime chatfest \u201cLive With Kelly and Ryan.\u201d Seacrest \u2014 who considered<\/a> the late talker Larry King a \u201cmentor\u201d \u2014 also hosts the network\u2019s annual \u201cDick Clark\u2019s New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve with Ryan Seacrest,\u201d as well as the Fox singing competition \u201cAmerican Idol.\u201d In addition, he is the producer of the E! reality spectacle \u201cKeeping Up With the Kardashians,\u201d which will draw to a close at the end of Season 20, premiering March 18.<\/p>\n

His step back could also leave him more freed-up for dating following a split<\/a> from influencer Shayna Taylor last summer.\n <\/div>\n
