“#Susan Sarandon blasts Biden over COVID-19 stimulus checks<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Susan Sarandon is accusing President Biden and Democrats of pulling a \u201cbait and switch\u201d after initially promising $2,000 stimulus checks during the election.<\/p>\n

The Oscar-winning actress said the difference between $2,000 and the $1,400 checks that are now being floated<\/a> is \u201ca matter of survival.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere are the $2K checks you promised @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris @ReverendWarnock @ossoff?\u201d Sarandon, 74, tweeted Thursday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The \u201cStepmom\u201d actress also quoted statistics saying that just 39 percent of Americans can afford a $1,000 emergency and 15 million have lost health insurance through their employers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe diff between $1,400 & $2K is a matter of survival,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

In another post, she told her nearly 685,000 followers, \u201cIf voters feel like Dems are pulling a bait and switch, don\u2019t be surprised when they don\u2019t show up in 2022 or 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress, who won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in \u201cDead Man Walking,\u201d backed Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the most recent presidential election.<\/p>\n

In April, Sarandon tweeted support<\/a> for Tara Reade, who claimed Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the campaign trail, Biden and other Democratic candidates promised to rush out $2,000 stimulus checks to hard-hit Americans during the COVID-19 crisis.<\/p>\n

But Biden has since backed payments of $1,400 \u2014 which would be on top of the $600 checks that went out in December.<\/p>\n

After an all-night session, the Senate on Friday app<\/a>roved a measure that would allow Democrats to push Biden\u2019s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package through the chamber without Republican support.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
