This California town really wants people to\u00a0visit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Santa Maria Valley,\u00a0in\u00a0California\u2019s\u00a0Central Coast, which is\u00a0known for its vineyards and\u00a0wineries,\u00a0is giving visitors $100 to spend on local businesses during their stay \u2014 but there\u2019s a catch.<\/p>\n

In order to get the $100 gift card, visitors have to spend at least two nights at a qualifying hotel in the Santa Maria Valley before March 31, according to the\u00a0website.<\/a><\/p>\n

Once visitors book their hotel reservation, they have to fill out a form to app<\/a>ly for their \u201cstimulus,\u201d the website said. Visitors who meet the requirements will have their gift cards waiting for them at their hotels.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The cards can be used at any of the 50\u00a0restaurants\u00a0or 34 tasting rooms in the Santa Maria Valley, the website said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Visitors can also use their $100 on local\u00a0breweries, vineyards and attractions in the area.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the website, only 500 visitors will receive gift cards. The promotion\u00a0is also only available for new bookings.<\/p>\n

Though the area is beckoning new visitors, businesses in Santa Maria Valley are still following California\u2019s\u00a0coronavirus\u00a0guidelines, the website said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe expect that all visitors to the area will do their part to respect our region and our state by practicing social<\/a> distancing, wearing a mask and washing their hands regularly,\u201d the website says.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Any gift card recipients who do not follow the state guidelines \u201cwill be disqualified from this promotion,\u201d the terms and conditions said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
