“#New Dan Harmon Animated Series<\/a> Set in Ancient Greece is Headed to Fox<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Dan Harmon, the brains behind Adult Swim\u2019s Rick and Morty<\/em> and NBC sitcom Community<\/em>, has a new animated show headed to Fox.<\/p>\n

The as-yet-unnamed comedy series will be set in Ancient Greece and is \u201ccentered on a flawed family of humans, gods and monsters that try to run one of the world\u2019s first cities without killing each other,\u201d the network said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Set to premiere in 2022, the show will be produced by Fox-owned animation studio Bento Box Entertainment, the team behind Bob\u2019s Burgers.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe project is an incredibly irreverent family comedy,\u201d says Michael Thorn, president of Entertainment at Fox Entertainment. He noted that while the show is set in ancient times, it will feature \u201ca remarkably sharp commentary on today\u2019s politics, celebrity and pop culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Voice casting for the series is currently under way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
